Com. Parvati is a Central Committee Member of Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist), one of the two women leaders who have reached the board of policy making in the party.
She is also a Member of interim legislature.
According to the party's policy she was also a Minister of Physical Planning and Works in coalition Government from 1 April 2007, and resigned collectively along with other comrades in 18. Septmber 2007.
Comrade Parvati who has continiously contributed in actions and writings for the liberation of women without excluding from class struggle, was born in well known Newar family in Kathmandu in 1959.She did most of her schooling in India and studied Masters of Architecture from New Castle- Upon-Tyne (U.K). She has also published two books 'People's War and women's liberation in Nepal' and ' Marxism and Women's Emancipation' which are being translated in different languages.
It's a great oppertunity to take first hand information and discuss with the foremost, expert woman revolutionary leader of Nepal.
